The Bold and the Beautiful| Mood Board Monday

Hi friends!

Hope your week is off to a great start! Between working and baseball games in freezing cold weather, we've been quite busy over here at the Wright house.  I feel as if we are stuck in the middle of a million projects without the time to finish any of them. Normally we do one project at a time but with this house it doesn't seem to be working out that way. The wheels are constantly turning in my head with every nook and cranny in this house and I just want to do THEM ALL. I guess you could say I have a bit of decorating ADD...a fact my husband no doubt loves about me.

One of the projects on the mile long list is to complete our spare bedroom.  Right now it literally is orange and filled with boxes...we lovingly call it the "decor room". It's filled with lamps, wall accessories, storage bins and baskets, it's like a Home Goods store down there! But, something has to change. We often have family and friends visit from out of town so it's time to take out the boxes and bring some wright style into that space.

So, for Mood Board Monday today I'm going to share one of my ideas I have for the space and boy is it fun!

The inspiration for today's mood board comes from none other than Instagram! I've been all over that #oneroomchallenge hashtag because I'm a sucker for a good makeover. While stumbling through them I came across this picture from Rebecca at Inspired Life Interiors.

I was smitten! We all know I've been on a huge wallpaper kick lately and this floral print had me at hello. (Go check out her blog and instagram, she has great style!)

After recently having wallpaper installed in our entry way, I've been dying to do more! I mean, what better way to get the cookie cutter out of our home than bold and unexpected prints?!

Another One Room Challenge participant's room that caught my eye was Elise from Her Heart and Home. Check out this amazing accent wall:

I just LOVE this. It's unexpected, non-traditional, and just my style.  Check out the rest of her room reveal right here

All this inspiration leads to my own spare room restyle!
It seems like the perfect place to do something fun that our guests will be sure to enjoy.
I found the same wallpaper Rebecca used from Anthropologie and got started building an inspiration board. I'm calling this one: "The Bold and the Beautiful" (cue soap opera music)

This may be my favorite mood board to date! It's fun, feminine, chic, and glam. Heck, I'd wanna stay in this room! Aside from the wallpaper I think my favorite piece is that blush rug from ATG Stores. Time to start clearing out those boxes I'm afraid...

  2. I love the lighting! Where might I find it? The whole board is beautiful and bold. As someone who has stripped her LAST wallpapered wall, I'm not sure I am a fan, but who knows, maybe I'll come around!

  6. I like adding whimsical pieces to my decor, especially when they are also useful. A great chandelier or lamp really can add such distinction to a room.

  8. Love the wallpaper in the first pic, but the second one was a little too busy for me. There was too much going on there. However, they do provide some great inspiration.

  9. I've never been a big wallpaper person - based mainly on the layers upon layers of wallpaper we removed from our walls when we bought our house. But, there are so many pretty patterns these days! And it would definitely cover some imperfections!
