Hello Friends! Hope everyone had a great weekend.
We had some out of town guests this weekend which makes my heart so happy. We still managed to sneak a quick project in and I'm LOVING the results. More on that next week.
On my instagram last week I posted this Office inspiration from Ashley Ella Design.
It's dreamy colors and soft gold accents had me scheming of my own doesn't-yet-exist office space. I currently blog from the couch, which leads to my computer overheating and bad posture, so I'm yearning for a place to call my own.
Today I'm rounding up a few of my favorite office spaces with my Romantic and Tranquil Office Mood Board to follow.
Grab a cup of Joe and let's be inspired!
Our first house had zero room for a home office, so we dedicated a small space in the kitchen with a desk and DIY shelving. It wasn't perfect but it made great use of the space. When your house is 1300 sq ft with 4 people and 3 cats, you have to get creative.
That, ladies and gentleman, was our home office. Be jealous.
Our current house boasts oodles of space and I've already spied the perfect place to sit with my coffee and computer.
Here are some other inspirational office spaces that also make great use of windows and natural light.
Kate from Centsational Girl is definitely one to follow. She has the most gorgeous spaces and DIY projects. Here's a view of her home office.
Isn't it heavenly? The warm grays with pops of pink and orange lead to a cozy office I know I wouldn't want to leave.
Megan from Creatively Flawless was featured on The Office Stylist and I adore her style. It's girly, chic, gold, and glam. What's not to love?
That black, white and gold get me every time.
This final inspo makes great use of the natural light and artistic elements of the room, like a gorgeous brick wall. From The Every Girl:
That Gold Desk? Yes please! Nail head trim linen memo board? Mhhhmmm. I love the neutrals and how they really allow that brick accent wall to be the shining star of the room, even if those gold legs try and outshine.
I took elements that I loved and created a work-space that would inspire and make my heart happy.
I realized once I had completed the mood board, the Pantone Colors of the year had snuck their way in. Rose Quartz and Serenity, the 2016 Pantone Colors of the year, are beautiful and soft and look fab with some gold accents. The cool blue and warmth from the gold and rose help balance the space for a feminine and chic look.
The Tonic Living fabric, Eastern Charm Hisbiscus, merries these colors in a fun and whimsical way. I can't wait to have some curtains made from this beautiful fabric!
Hope you feel inspired to create your own beautiful work space! Can't wait to get started on this one!
I am in the (slow) process of redecorating our home office! I love the Censational Girl office. The colors in your mood board are dreamy!
